Project Description
Fra due battiti is a 2021 Italian film directed by Stefano Usardi. Filmed partly in Trentino, it intertwines reality and fiction as it follows the protagonist Giovanni, creating a suspended atmosphere in which everyday places and inner experience overlap.
Pixel Cartoon created visual effects and compositing designed to blend naturally with the film’s cinematography. The work involved preparing shots, handling green-screen elements and digitally reconstructing parts of the frame while maintaining consistent light, perspective and movement.
Every intervention served the story: the aim was to expand the possibilities of the staging and support the feature’s tone, with the technique remaining unobtrusive. The video compares the original footage with the final result.
