From set to post-production: the VFX Supervisor’s role
Visual effects begin long before post-production. Good VFX supervision starts with the script, continues through shot planning and follows the project to final compositing.
On set, the VFX Supervisor gathers references, checks lighting, perspectives and camera movements, plans green screen and tracking, and works with the director, cinematographer and production designer. Anticipating problems reduces time and costs and, above all, helps create more convincing images.
In post-production, footage, 3D elements, matte painting and compositing must become a single image. The work is technical, but every decision serves the story. Pixel Cartoon’s experience in filming and compositing allows us to follow the entire workflow, maintaining continuity between what is planned and what reaches the screen.
