This notice describes how we process the personal data of visitors to the Pixel Cartoon website and people who contact us, pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 (GDPR) and applicable Italian law. The Cookie Policy section explains how to manage your browsing choices.<\/p>\n

2. What data we process and why<\/h2>\n

Contacts and correspondence.<\/strong> When you write through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address, subject, message and any other information you choose to provide. We use this data to reply, manage correspondence and assess or pursue possible collaborations. For enquiries relating to a possible assignment, the legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at the data subject\u2019s request or performing a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); for other communications, it is our legitimate interest in managing and documenting incoming correspondence (point (f)). Mandatory obligations are based on the law (point (c)).<\/p>\n

The form on the Contact page sends an email to Pixel Cartoon through Contact Form 7. The requested data is needed to handle the message: without a valid contact address, we may be unable to reply. Marketing consent is not required to contact us. Please do not include health data or other particularly sensitive information unless it is necessary for your communication.<\/p>\n

Operation and security.<\/strong> The server and security tools may process IP addresses, dates and times, requested resources, request outcomes, and browser and device information. This data is used to provide the website, diagnose problems, prevent abuse and protect systems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the availability and security of the website (Article 6(1)(f)), together with any legal obligations.<\/p>\n

Statistics and external content.<\/strong> Optional statistics and the loading of YouTube videos and Google Maps are managed through the consent preferences described below. The legal basis for these optional activities is consent (Article 6(1)(a)). Refusing consent does not prevent you from reading the pages; videos and maps may remain disabled.<\/p>\n

Visitor comments are disabled. Sending a message does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Pixel Cartoon does not use the website to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.<\/p>\n

3. Recipients, providers and transfers<\/h2>\n

Data is accessible to authorised Pixel Cartoon personnel and, where necessary, to providers of hosting, IT support, email, security and web services. The website is hosted by Bluehost<\/strong>. The site also uses WordPress, Wordfence security tools and backup tools. Depending on the service and their role, providers act as processors or independent controllers. Data may be shared with advisers and authorities where necessary for legal obligations or the protection of rights. We do not publish the emails and messages we receive.<\/p>\n

Some providers, particularly Bluehost\/Newfold, Automattic and Google, also have facilities or services outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Transfers must comply with Chapter V GDPR, through an applicable adequacy decision or the contractual safeguards required by law. For information about recipients and safeguards relating to the processing of your data, or to request a copy, please write to info@pixelcartoon.it<\/a>. Provider privacy notices are linked in the following section; services do not all have the same location or retention periods.<\/p>\n

4. Retention periods and protection<\/h2>\n

Emails and contact messages:<\/strong> are retained for as long as they remain relevant to correspondence, enquiries, collaborations or professional relationships. This may extend over several years. The need for retention depends on the content, continuity of the relationship, the need to document exchanges and any legal obligations or requirements to protect rights; data is not retained indiscriminately without a purpose. You can contact us to check the retention of a specific communication or request its deletion.<\/p>\n

Administrative or contractual data:<\/strong> is retained for the periods required by applicable law and any need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Technical and security logs:<\/strong> are retained according to operational needs, incident management and applicable obligations, depending on the service used. The details below apply to Jetpack data and cookie preferences.<\/p>\n

Processing uses IT systems and proportionate organisational and technical measures. The site uses HTTPS to protect transmission: this does not mean that every stored item is encrypted or that a system is risk-free.<\/p>\n

5. Cookie Policy: services and purposes<\/h2>\n

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, may also be used. Some tools are necessary for operation, while others require an optional choice.<\/p>\n

Essential cookies and preference management<\/h3>\n

Complianz<\/strong> records the choices made in the banner so they can be applied on subsequent visits. Cookies with the prefix cmplz_<\/code>, such as cmplz_functional<\/code>, cmplz_statistics<\/code>, cmplz_marketing<\/code>, cmplz_preferences<\/code>, cmplz_consented_services<\/code>, cmplz_policy_id<\/code> and cmplz_banner-status<\/code>, store the authorised categories, services and banner status. The configured preference duration is 365 days<\/strong>, unless deleted from the browser or the choices are renewed. These are technical tools and do not require consent. The browser may also keep technical banner information in local storage.<\/p>\n

WordPress and security tools may use technical cookies for administrator-only access and to protect sessions. Visitors do not need an account to read the content. These tools do not authorise optional categories.<\/p>\n

Statistics: Jetpack Stats<\/h3>\n

The website uses Jetpack Stats by Automattic<\/strong> to understand how content is used. The service may process IP addresses, browser characteristics, visited pages and referrers, time and language; account identifiers may also be involved when a user is logged in to WordPress.com. Automattic states that statistical logs containing IP addresses and identifiers are retained for 28 days; statistical summaries are distinct. YouTube videos and Google Maps<\/h3>\n

Videos, including those opened in a window over the page, use the player provided by YouTube<\/strong>; the map on the Contact page uses Google Maps<\/strong>. Loading this content connects your browser to Google, which may receive your IP address, device information and interactions with the content, and use cookies or other identifiers according to its settings and notices. If you are signed in to a Google account, this information may be linked to your account.<\/p>\n

These services fall under the banner\u2019s \u201cExternal content and marketing\u201d category. Embedded content remains blocked without the relevant consent. The category name covers potential functions of external providers and does not mean that Pixel Cartoon sells visitor data. Names, duration and use of Google identifiers depend on the service, browser and account sign-in status: please consult Google\u2019s Privacy Policy<\/a> and Google\u2019s cookie information<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Links to Facebook, YouTube and other external websites lead to the respective services, where their own notices apply. An external link is distinct from loading an embedded player or map. Hosting information is available in the Bluehost\/Newfold privacy information<\/a>.<\/p>\n

6. How to choose, refuse or withdraw consent<\/h2>\n

On your first visit, the banner allows you to accept all<\/strong>, reject<\/strong> optional processing or customise<\/strong> the categories. You can continue browsing even if you refuse. You can reopen your choices at any time using the \u201cCookie preferences\u201d<\/strong> button on the website and change or withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.<\/p>\n

You can also delete or restrict cookies in your browser settings. Deleting preferences may cause the banner to reappear. Withdrawal blocks subsequent optional loading, but does not automatically delete data already received by providers or all cookies already stored in the browser: use your browser settings and providers\u2019 tools for those.<\/p>\n

7. Your rights<\/h2>\n

In the cases and within the limits set out in Articles 15\u201322 GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation and withdraw consent where it is the legal basis. To exercise your rights, write to info@pixelcartoon.it<\/a> or to the controller\u2019s postal address above. We respond within the periods set out in the GDPR, normally within one month; any justified extensions will be communicated.<\/p>\n

You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority<\/a> and use the other remedies available under the law.<\/p>\n
